Course Objective

By the end of this full workshop experience, participants will be able to use natural language to analyze, explore, and report on data directly in Excel with the help of Microsoft Copilot. They’ll understand how to generate summaries, charts, and forecasts using AI, and apply prompting techniques like zero-shot and few-shot strategies to solve real-world business challenges. Through hands-on, scenario-based exercises, participants will practice translating insights into strategic answers for leadership and leave with tools, templates, and the practical confidence to bring AI into their daily data workflows—no coding required.

Course Prerequisites

There are no technical prerequisites for this course—participants do not need any coding or data science background. However, they should have a basic working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and be comfortable using spreadsheets in a business context. To fully participate, attendees must complete the one-hour self-paced online module prior to the live session and have access to a Microsoft 365 + Copilot license. A laptop with the desktop version of Excel installed and internet access is also required for the hands-on portion of the workshop.

Participants will need to have the following materials and tools for this course:

A Microsoft 365 + Copilot license with access to Excel

A laptop with the desktop version of Microsoft Excel installed (preferred for live workshop)

Internet access for both the self-paced module and live session

Completion of the online pre-training module (provided after registration)

If a participant doesn’t have Copilot, Business Logix can provide or sell access upon registration
