Session 1: Introduction to Generative AI and Gemini

This 90-minute introductory session will help FTA International employees develop a strong foundation in Google Gemini for Workspace to improve daily productivity. Led by Business Logix LLC, the course offers a practical overview of how generative AI, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and Multimodal LLMs (MLLMs), can automate tasks, support brainstorming, and deliver data insights. Participants will explore the Google Gemini ecosystem, including the Gemini App and its integration with Workspace tools such as Gmail, Docs, and Meet. The session also covers key prompt engineering techniques, focusing on Persona, Task, Context, and Format, to help attendees use these AI features effectively and responsibly with human-in-the-loop principles.

Exercise 1: The Retro Marketing Challenge

This exercise is about using AI to brainstorm a creative marketing plan. You’ll prompt Gemini to act like an 80s ad executive, generating fun, retro-themed marketing campaign to sell refurbished Commodore 64s.

Exercise 2: The Technical Translator

This exercise is about simplifying complex terminology. It tests the ability to translate technical jargon into relatable analogies, helping non-technical users understand why smaller, sturdier tech was a major leap forward.

Exercise 3: This Employee Matchmaker

This exercise focuses on problem-solving and personnel matching. It requires analyzing a specific technical failure and identifying the most qualified specialist from a provided list to resolve a vintage hardware conflict.
